Garry M. Spotts, M.Div., is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a product of the Jefferson County Public Schools. 

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Grehan School of Journalism he continued his post-secondary education; by completing a Master of Divinity degree course of study at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville Kentucky.  Professionally:

• He has served as the Academic Dean of The former Simmons Bible College (now Simmons College of Kentucky), from 1985 to 1988;

• The Minister of Church Development at the Pilgrim Baptist Church of Hamilton, Ohio during the tenure of Dr. Norman L. Townsel, Sr. from 1988 to 1990;

• Academic Advisor to First Year Students and Adjunct Instructor School of Education, Dept. of Educational Leadership at the Miami University of Oxford, Ohio 1988 to 1990;

• Executive Director of the St. Stephen Family Life Center and Minister of Church Development, St. Stephen Baptist Church Louisville, Kentucky from January 1991 to June 1992.

From June 1993 to 2001, Garry Spotts through Spotts and Associates/New Paradigms Consulting was a master contract consultant to Jefferson County Public Schools. Conducting workshops for students, parents and teachers through the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers. 

In April 2000, he began serving as the Minister of Education and Staff Development for the Zion Baptist Church during the tenure of Dr. H. Donald Cockerham of Louisville, Kentucky and continued his dynamic and insightful teaching ministry there until January 2006.
